Emergency Resources

At TalkWorks, we understand needing help may not always fall within our hours of operation.  That's why we've made it easy to access support around the clock by accessing local and national resources that are there any time you need them.

If you are experiencing a life threatening situation, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

National Resources:  (These services are available 24 hours/day 7 days/week)

  • If you are suicidal or experiencing emotional distress, consider using the 988 Suicide and Crisis hotline.  Call or text 988 or chat online with a trained crisis counselor.  https://988lifeline.org/chat/  For your information, there is a short pre-chat survey before connecting with someone online.  You can reach a specialized LGBTQI+ affirming counselor by texting "Q" to 988 or by calling and pressing 3.
